“The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”

Psalms 28:7

Sudan Pentecostal Church (SPC) believes:

  1. The Bible as the inspired Word of God consisting of 66 Canonical Books. It is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God and the sole rule for the Christian faith and conduct (2Timothy 3:16-17; 1Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
  2. In the existence of only One God, who is eternally self-existent, in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (John 1:1-5; 14:10-11; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Col 1:15; Mathew 3:16-17).
  3. In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life and miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His physical resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God the Father; as our intercessor and advocate before the throne of God and in His personal future return to earth in power and glory to rule over the nations (Isaiah 9:6; Luke 24:4-9; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 1:18; Hebrews 4:15).
  4. In the Deity of the Holy Spirit as the Third Person of the Trinity who regenerates the believer and enables him/her to live a holy life (Romans 8:1-17; 26-27; 15:16; 2Thesslonians 2:13; 1Peter 1:2).
  5. Salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and is affected by repentance from sin; resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:21; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-9).
  6. In water baptism by emersion for all who have truly repented and believed in Christ as their personal savior and Lord. This baptism is a testimony to the world of God’s inward work of grace upon the believer’s heart, and it symbolizes the burial of the old life of sin and a resurrection to a new life of righteousness in Christ (Acts 2:38-39; 10:47-48; Romans 6:1-4).
  7. In the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion for all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord; as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s death until He comes again (Mathew 26:26-29; 1Corinthians 11:20-34).
  8. In baptism with the Holy Spirit with the outward initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as an experience for all believers who meet God’s conditions for receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit by faith (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:6).
  9. In the operation of the Holy Spirit in today’s Church as in the New Testament Church. That; the gifts, fruit, and manifestations of the Spirit are present in the present-day Church as in the New Testament Church (1Corinthians 12; 14; Romans 12:6-8; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 4:7-16).
  10. In divine healing through the atoning death of Christ on the cross in an answer to the prayer of faith (Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:5; Mathew 4:23; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 10:38; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:13-15).
  11. In the bodily resurrection of all the dead; the saved to everlasting life and the unsaved to everlasting punishment in Hell (Mathew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:11-15).
  12. In the Kingdom of God both as a present and a future reality (Luke 17:20-21; Matthew 16:28; 24:14; 26:29).
